Newspaper Construction Begins

We've started writing and placing images into our double page spread. At the moment this is just a tester as much as the final thing. We want to make sure that everything looks and appears right. We used a template that we felt will keep our newspaper article on the right path, being the documentary style. We must represent the presenter and most important highlight the main focus of the documentary, example Lewis Sloan. As you can see the newspaper spread doesn't look that great, however once it's complete we hope it will appeal to everyone within our target audience.
As you can see the image at the bottom of the top image has no relevance to the documentary, however we put it in their, just to see what it looked like.

Radio Times Template Example

HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF POSSIBLE TEMPLATE IDEAS AND GENERAL DESIGN

All of these images are from the Buzz magazines, as you can see the layout and general organisation of the text, is exactly how myself and Lewis want it to look like. However we can't afford to get too carried away as we must remember that we are a documentary and not a film, music video or drama. We must keep on the lines of our convention.

Next on the Agenda

Well myself and Lewis have complete the first of the ancillary tasks. 1 Being a newspaper advertisement. So we now move onto the double page spread. In the spread we need to have a main image which stands out just like the poster however we need to make sure that this one is an actually image of Lewis up close. It's just so then people can see him more up and close. We hope to take a picture of Lewis for the page spread as soon as possible. We will take a picture of him dressed in his GB rowing jacket, the image will only be the waist up. We are also looking at the Radio times for guidance, and also looking at different templates.
