The Real Thing
As you saw from the practise shots and posters, we've worked hard and come away with a great overall product. As you can see the font has change we made sure that the text/font stood out. The creative royal text give the whole thing a base feeling. The slogan speaks for itself, if you read it and look at the image you will notice that the image resembles the text. The spotlight effect took time and precision, however over time little touches here and there made it complete and exciting to look at.
If you look closer we put in the date, time and channel the documentary is to broadcasted, from thorough research we noticed that on advertisement pages the information is highlighted in small sized font and is of a simple text style. Again the slogan text is simple as we want to reinforce the main focus which is the spotlight. The reason for creating a spotlight and thinking of a slogan relating a spotlight effect came from when we realised that when athlete's compete they are under the spotlight (everyone is watching).
It's crucial that we put the 2012 London Olympic logo onto the poster as the documentary is based on the Olympics, and young stars within their sport.

Working with Adobe
We will use creative font for the title 'Olympic Dream' as that is the main focus. It's important that we incorporate a slogan as the advert is about appealing to the audience. As the poster will aim to BBC 2 audiences. Again BBC 2 is a high rated broadcasting channel and therefore we are expected to express our idea in a precise a way. Adobe is the perfect programme to enable us to create a great final image. I've used and personal belief that it's abilities can create something great for us.

Next on the criteria
Once we have complete our main product (documentary),then our attention turns to the 2 ancillary tasks. In this case it is a newspaper article(spread) and a newspaper advertisement of the documentary. The newspaper advertisement is to be the first one that we hope to complete. The idea is to use either adobe photoshop or macromedia fireworks. Both are great for special effects, and when we place our images into these software's we will be able to create a work of art.
We will be using guidance and reference from the radio times magazine and website as it publishes many TV dramas, movie, documentaries etc. Once we complete this we will move straight onto the double page spread as that involves writing many persuasive articles.

Drawing closer to the Finish :)
As we draw closer to the finishing product of our documentary, we move onto a new objective. That next step is ancillary task. Whereas in my As project all you had to do was film and create and fill a blog, at A2 you have to design and create posters and newspaper page spreads. Taking photographs is a passion of mine so the poster shouldn't be a problem.
The newspaper page spread is going to be the mission as we have to write an article and again find some pictures for the newspaper spread. Myself and Lewis will be moving onto this next task asap. Just to summarise the experience of filming a documentary, it's been great and have learn't lots it's just a shame that we didn't get to film a full documentary that surely would have been fun.

Editing (Special Effects)
Editing was one of the strenuous parts of the production as myself and Lewis were trying to better our knowledge and ability to use Final Cut Express. All threw our documentary we used a pen tool which gave a fading ability. As a documentary quick pace cuts and transitions aren't that essential.

We used the pen tool also to edit our audio, for example voice over's when listening you want to make sure that you have a fine balance between diegetic sound and non diegetic sound, it adds to the realism of an actually documentary.
Hours and hours of editing can be tiring however the end result is always something to be amazed of. The 5 1/2 minute documentary, transitions from slow cuts to many fast cuts. Take the Coupe footage for example in a racing situation you don't tend to see slow cuts as it will make it seem fake and unrealistic. We modified the speed of some shots to connote the feeling of finishing and joy.
As you will see the music merges well with the footage to create a synchronised effect. Disadvantage of placing music into Final Cut Express was that you had render the music before you could listen to it as a whole, this was extremely time consuming, however apart from that minor setback, editing ran slowly but smoothly and therefore our final products is almost looking perfect with only some minor changes to do.
Working hard threw lessons to get the editing complete
Myself and Lewis finding out that the Log and Transfer process on Final Cut Express can sometimes take forever
Up to 80 gigabytes of high definition footage was shot, and it was just for a five minute documentary

The Freakout Tent
HERE LISTEN TO THE AUDIO WHICH WILL GO INTO OUR DOCUMENTARY!!
This is ClockworkRoyalty-free music for professional licensing
This is AirRoyalty-free music for professional licensing
After hours and hours of listening to the Freakout Album myself and Lewis found the sounds which we felt would fit perfectly into our documentary. Clockwork was the best for the Coupe de la jeuensse footage whereas the intro when we are at Dorney lake, the audio Air is perfect. The interview process you will be able to hear a low tune which is Yes Yes Yall and that was great to be put as a sound bridge.

Equipment Used (Technology)
Of course without a top of the range camera with shoots stunning high-definition footage, it wouldn't be possible to film. As is was our A2 coursework myself and lewis managed to get our hands onto this mid - range price camera. As the video highlights it truly is as good as it is made out to be. For example look at some of this information,
Lets not forget that without a tripod filming is impossible, especially when it's documentary.
- 1920 x 1080 Full HD video
- 3-megapixel images
- 16GB embedded Flash memory
- Exmor R" CMOS sensor
- Smile Shutter™ technology
- Face Detection
- Direct Copy
- 25x optical zoom
So fantastic specs for a camera which only cost £499.
Lets not forget that without a tripod filming is impossible, especially when it's documentary.

Jamendo

Jamendo is a royalty free music website which enables anyone to grab music and use for personal reasons. And the best thing about it, it doesn't break copyright rules. The Freakout Tent is an album from the artist Tab. Tab is a triphop experimental genre, which in fact means there's more instruments and more themes attached with it. As you will find out when listening to the music. The decision to put the music into our documentary isn't final, however there are potentially good sounds in this album which would be great for the documentary.
